Cruise has filed a project application to upgrade three abandoned and underutilized properties at 630, 640, and 800 Cesar Chavez Street, turning them into an EV service center and charging facility. Cruise plans to upgrade the buildings on the property, install EV charging stations in support of our zero-emission, self-driving vehicle fleet, and significantly upgrade the Cesar Chavez street frontage with new plants and lighting, and an ADA-compliant sidewalk where no sidewalk currently exists today.
This service center and charging facility will support our fleet as we scale up operations, helping to create a zero-emission, shared future while supporting the next generation of clean-energy infrastructure jobs. The project will transform a vacant, dilapidated site into a model for green infrastructure.
